How to Read Monetization Requirements, and How This Calculator Works
How YouTube, Shorts, TikTok, Twitch and SOOP requirements work, and how this calculator gets its dates.
Totals and rolling windows move differently
Subscribers and followers pile up. Keep growing and you get there eventually.
Watch hours and views are rolling totals: last 12 months, last 90 days, last 30 days. Every day the oldest day drops off.
So if your daily average is too low, a rolling requirement never gets reached. The calculator tells you the daily average you need.
How the dates are calculated
Subscribers: what's left divided by your last-28-day daily average. 200 to go and 56 gained in 28 days means 2 a day, so 100 days.
Rolling totals: we assume your current total came in evenly and subtract what drops off. After one full window, your total equals pace times window length, and it stops there.
When a path has several requirements, the slowest one sets the date. When there are two paths, the faster one is listed first.
Upload counts don't get a date. You just see how many more you need.
Every date is a straight-line estimate that assumes your pace holds. No earnings estimates.
Reading the YouTube requirements
The 500-subscriber tier unlocks fan funding and Shopping. Ad revenue starts at the 1,000-subscriber tier.
Only watch hours from public long-form videos count. Private, unlisted and deleted videos and watch time from the Shorts Feed don't.
From Feb 1, 2027, new creators need 8,000 watch hours or 20M Shorts views for ad revenue. Channels already in YPP keep their status.
Use the numbers in Studio's Earn section. They can differ from Analytics.
Reading the TikTok requirements
The Creator Rewards Program looks at followers and views in the last 30 days. You need a Personal Account and have to be 18 or older.
Only some countries can join. Check the list in the table before you plan around it.
Rewards come from original videos at least one minute long. This tool doesn't estimate how much.
Saving and coming back
Save on this device keeps that day's numbers in this browser with the date. Saving again the same day replaces that entry.
Next time, update a number and you'll see how much it changed under the field.
If you have an entry at least 7 days old, Fill pace from my history puts your subscriber pace in for you.
One channel per platform is free. More channels on the same platform, the history chart and no ads come with a subscription. Your saved history stays if the subscription ends.
Common snags
No date: the pace fields are blank, so you only see what's left. Find your last-28-day numbers in Studio.
It says you won't get there at this pace: that's a rolling requirement. Beat the daily average shown.
My history is gone: browser storage was cleared, or you're in a different browser. History lives only in that browser.
The numbers don't match Studio: an official page may have changed. Open the source under the table first.
